Another aspect to look for if your into video gaming, especially high speed action HD games, is the refresh rates. Standard refresh is around 60hz but if you don’t want tearing effects to show up in action games, you should try to find hdtv’s with a higher refresh rate than 60hz. Above 80hz is ideal.

60hz don’t effect games and tv only movies. 60hz refers to 60 interlaced field shots. 120hz are made because it is divisible by 24hz (movies) and 60hz. anything over 120hz don’t make sense. pixel response time is more important for normal use.
