I have the device now 4 days in operation.
Advance, the device is really good, but:
The piano part of the foot and pulls the dirt that actually, the glossy surface can be irritating to light.
After I previously had used a Philips LCD with Ambilight I was a little more glaring colors used to.
Please note that the surface is quite strongly reflected. The device should be exposed to light from behind. Plasma devices are generally quite strongly dependent on their contrast of light in the room.
The image has faded at higher brightness in the room, the LCD, this is not noticed.
Evening with low light the picture is really at the top, over DVB-T better than the cable channels.
It would have been great if the device could be operated in parallel on the two receiving parts.
Sound is great, always for the size of the speaker.
The remote control could be better, button layout is not ideal for me, I still hope to get accustomed on my part.
Unfortunately, so far I could not enjoy HDTV picture, the presentation on DVD, however, is super.
When the Philips Ambilight a clear plus, who had already been in use, was it really wants to miss any more.
Therefore the image on the Panasonic cable reception (PAL) is much better, much less graphic blocks on some channels, this was very disturbing at Philips.
Conclusion: Class device, but not suited for bright rooms.

After a lengthy search, we chose this device because we have the best NTSC picture (in this price range) have sought and found, in our opinion now!
PAL, we accompany us for a few years, so have the latest Flachfernseher both worlds, the PAL and HDTV perfect present.
Attached is therefore a dig. Satellite receiver via RGB Scart and a Denon DVD 3800 with progressive scan and RGB Scart (still no HDMI available).
Both sources give the PAL image with excellent detail again, no artifacts or stair steps in diagonal lines, and the “flicker” to the station logo is no longer seen from distance to 20cm – gorgeous, we are thrilled.
The plasma creates a huge contrast, a depth of almost a 3D impression.
A source in HDTV, we have not yet tried at home.
The device operation is great, the FB as well.
The fans do not even bother and run whisper-quiet.
“Intelligent Frame Creation” We have for example switched off for football because the ball so often jerky. In addition, there are already several posts in the forums. Without perfect IFC – picture.
A few minor points that might be even better:
- The sound could be stronger in the bass range, which was our old Sony CRT TV better.
- The settings or options of the device firmware is installed in our 370 euros LCD release from Orion more pronounced. E.g. we have) (until today, no way found that the TH-42PZ85 turn on after power directly to AV-1 and no rushing image display from the tuner. Once the satellite receiver is running, turn on the TH-42PZ85, of course, at once to RGB, as he intended.
- Teletext we do not use much, but the Orion is as Split-screen display, which means the left side shows the TV picture and the right is the teletext.
Such features, we would have expected, the absence of clouds the enthusiasm but not really.
A great device for those looking for a really good replacement for a formerly expensive as CRT TVs.

By Dietmar Thumm “PS3 Freak” reviews
How can express the title, I would classify this device even überhalb the maximum rating limit!
Why?
It’s simple:
Image quality is excellent (and not just when Blueray or PS3 but just well as in normal SD).
And I think the strength of this plasma comes fully to bear. I am thinking to take a very good comparison because I had 1-2 weeks the Samsung 40F86BD, who has also shone through so reviews, but when I now get the Pana, I’m so has become more clear.
Colors are very original and not faded as in LCDs.
Response times are the first tip!
I have absolutely no stuttering or anything like. 1080p/24 is rendered absolutely smoothly.
The design is geschmackssache, I am thinking let other manufacturers have come up something better, but I like it.
The Eco-function I find here also very practical because of the TV depending on the brightness adjusts the brightness of the panel to thereby save power.
Sound is quite ok,’s enough for normal TV. The menu is simple and thought out. It is very clear with the basic functions.
I would love to weiterschwärmen here, but I can only say in conclusion:
If you are looking for a 42 “Full HD TV is, with this model is excellent advice!

A super image even with analog reception, if a DVD looks great, if you look upscaled DVD top class!
Unfortunately, I have never seen a Blue Ray, but since the new flat’s are almost all strong.
With PS3 games, the picture quality is great, no streaks recommended for very fast scenes, so for gamers.
I hear the fans really not at, the PS3 is on jedenfall louder.
But they emit a lot of heat from what one observes in the current temperatures yet, but that does not bother really.
Negatives I have not noticed before.

The magic of the conventional PAL TV signal really well on the disc, shop no comparison to the pictures in! Because home is the picture even more beautiful than in the business.

The tüpfchen the i gibts but when looking at a Blu Ray – just a dream. Sun TV or video night makes a lot more fun than usual once a Blu-ray movie seen if we are not a traditional DVD more anschaun)))
For power following to say: I have attached a current meter and some test scenes, so the darker the film or the material is, the less he eats electricity, so when viewing action movies or horror movies to almost ausshcließlich at night or in dark scenes He played less than an LCD then eats it at around 200 watts.
However you look at the ICE age, or a winter transfer where you only see snow, so much for the transfer Heller scenes, then snaps the value already up on the manufacturer’s instructions as to the 390 watts. more than 400 watt, but he has never done it and that is a real extreme.
So absolute buy recommendation.

I have this good piece now for about 10 days and I must say: Just great! Whether television image (Digi-sat over Scart) or the game / DVD / Blu-Ray on PS3, it is impressive, which depth is this plasma. Even with the 572p DVD signals from the PS3 you get the feeling of sitting in the middle. The dramatic experience for me was when I “Blade Runner” on Blu-Ray’ve looked at. I had the impression of being always in the middle. This plasma is the incredibly vivid scenes Also the audio output, I find more than satisfactory and the volume can have enormous shapes. I am totally thrilled and can only express an absolute buy recommendation!

By F. Szymczykiewicz “Movie Fan” reviews
I have long looked for a good TV Flachbilschirm ausschau and me informed. Now was the question of a plasma or LCD? The brand was clear to 100%, it Solte be a Panasonic. Beginning of 2008, I learned that the new plasma TV from Panasonic TH-42PZ85E to come onto the market. Came after the new plasma TV on the market, have read everything about him in terms of technical Erungenschaften and equipment.
In early April I decided zuzulegen it to me that I have no regrets, because it was a very good decision. In addition, he has received from many Adio video portals very good pre-critical.
Now to my own assessment of the daily test:
Appearance: 5 star:
The plasma TV is built very sturdy, has a stable base (ie the TV is not on it wobbles when it is placed). Has a piano-black look with subdued small silver strip at the top on TV and on the base.
Ports: 5 Stars:
On the back there are 2 HDMI connections, 2 Scat ports, audio in and audio-out ports, an interface connection for Pay TV.
On the left side there is another HDMI port, S-Video, headphone conclusion, connections for camcorders and AV3 connection.
On the right side is an SD card slot and the control buttons for the programs and Tonumschaltung.
Thus, the plasma TV has all the connections that are needed today to connect all major appliances.
Handling: 4 Stars:
The setting up is very fast and is very simple. Socket assemble, screw on plasma on it and finished. It can be easily set up on the TV bench. Allerd it is advisable to do so for two that set up. For the plasma with base weighs 35kg.
After the first power is the programming of the transmitter) by itself (analog and digital channels, only the language must be chosen.
After the station search, you can even watch TV.
The plasma has many filters to optimize the image, you should also take the time to align the image according to his wishes. Time-consuming and that is something deshalt 4 stars.
Picture: 5 Stars
After I connected everything (DVD recorder and AV amp) and the image was adjusted according to my wishes perfectly, I was really excited, which provides for good to very good quality of the plasma. No jerk, no gross pixel blocks and no smearing during fast movements. I receive my analog cable channels. Thanks to the built-in DVB-T tuners, it is possible to connect an antenna for digital TV.
Have some time (ca.2Monaten), I have a DVB-T Indoor Antenna (TechniSat rod antenna) connected to the plasma, and I could hardly believe how gestochensarf the image. Much better than analog cable. Well I do not have 30-35 channels, but I look like RTL, Sat.1, Kabel 1, Pro7, VOX are all present and of course the legal and public.
There are no “image blocks,” and no Verzerungen also the sound is very good, just brilliant. The TV picture is very sharp even if the picture is broadcast in “aspect” mode. I must say that I live in Balungsgebiet of HH, so therefore no fringe. In outlying areas, you should use a slightly stronger antenna or external antenna. Have I just look away over DVB-T.
During the playback of DVD movies is needle-sharp picture and the black is so Scharz as night. One feels like the movies on DVD look.
Sound: 4.5 Stars:
The plasma has four speakers mounted on the upper rear back, the sound is passable. The plasma can produce one ton Sourund, but is not quite over. Therefore, it is advisable to an AV receiver or AV amplifier used to rauszubekommen the optimum.
With the settings on the TV, you can select different Tone to improve the TV playback through speakers.
In small rooms the speakers perfectly sufficient.
As well, I think, is the Eco-function. On TV at the front of small sensors are installed, the light ratio measured in the room and then regulates the supply of power of the screen. Does not mean that the image is bad, but it consumes less power. The picture remains well without further disadvantages in that capacity. I use it überwiegend.Ausserdem he can play the 24p function. This is incorporated in the new Blu-ray players, it still allows a better representation of the pictures of Blue-ray discs on the plasma TV.
I am glad that I opted for this Panasonic plasma, I enjoy every day when I watch television or DVD’s. It just brings a lot of fun and you’ll experience the film in a completely different way than with a tube TV. I want these plasma miss anymore.
In addition, he is still in the middle price range and is a future TV, which offers everything you need today.
I can Mesotherapy this Panasonic plasma TH42PZ85E anyone who is looking for a good flat-screen TV but want to spend a fortune.

The VIERA plasma TV Panasonic TH-42PZ85E satisfied with stylish design and striking images. The device is packed full of technological details. Tough Lead-free G11 Full HD Panel with a resolution of 1.920×1.080 pixel, a natural contrast ratio of 30,000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 supplies in conjunction with Panasonic’s innovative V-Real Pro 3 signal processing technology, brilliant colors, deepest black and impressively sharp images in full HD quality.

I have the device now been 1.5 years and am still thrilled. The entire TV speaks on the line, rich colors, excellent sharpness, thanks to 100hz quiet, fluid images (all sources of DVB-T, DVB-S, DVD (two days) via HDMI). Hochscaliertes DVD material (1080p) is also a great pleasure. Do not want to miss this TV more and can recommend it only good conscience continue.

I own the TH-42 PZ85E for three months and am very satisfied.
Image:
The image quality of analog Kabelfersehens entschpricht my expectations, however, is the image quality of digital cable (DVB-C) incredibly well. The upscaling is so good that you can see at a distance of only 1.5 meters, no pixels!
With DVDs that I play through a Panasonic DVD recorder via HDMI the picture quality is brilliant.
Sound:
The sound is pretty good for a flat screen, but in my opinion, an AV receiver with surround Lautschpechern is essential.
Comfort:
The remote has nice big buttons that make sense ordered. The menus are clear and selbserklärend.
Conclusion:
I probably forgot a few important points, but I can say that I have done everything well done on that TV sometimes even perfect find. This plasma is its price in any case is worth and is most useful for digital television reception equipment far superior to tube.

After the super recessions here and various reviews from the Pana just had to be my new boy! So I ordered him to me (after about two weeks of research in professional journals and on the network) as well. Somehow I’m disappointed but then pretty, and would have him back if my wife would not have fallen in love with the TV. But one by one …
PACKAGING:
For me very insecure. At each corner a little styrofoam. Although the board is quite stable would have in the weight and size but can easily happen. But is not it!
CONSTRUCTION:
Quite simple. For instructions, is very understandable, but you need it really. With some fine motor skills do you manage everything alone.
DESIGN:
Chic, idiosyncrasy, simply beautiful. It is clear, piano black matter of taste, but all of my constituents have this finish;).
The lower trim strip refined the optics, the base is square and therefore more beautiful than the whole oval, “Dinger.” Connections abound, I knew nothing was wrong with me.
PANEL (-> quality):
(Almost) perfect! It exceeds my opinion to the many recessions. When you get used to after a few days to the size (we sit about 3m-3, 5m away), everyone is watching TV an eye candy. And the same goes for analog cable!
Even in direct sunlight side, where has our good old cathode ray tube (Loewe! Failed), makes watching TV fun.
OPERATION:
Easy to use, the buttons and menus are self explanatory. The remote control has a logical structure, but the keypad could be slightly smaller. But who cares already?
SOFTWARE:
So, if you ask her why the unit only gets 3 stars:
1. It is incomprehensible to me why the device can not jump to the appropriate AV channel, when you turn on your device via HD component or HDMI! For other manufacturers is something so obvious.
2. The recognition of the correct size is under all pig! How can it be that a 16:9 HD signal is cut in auto mode, and / or arbitrarily chosen every few minutes another format? A “proper” zoom function, where is the picture in the aspect ratio and the image is raufgezoomt achieve just until the sides of the screen, I also miss her. In any case, here I am much better used to. Until he chose the right format, goes sometimes even almost a minute!
3. I would like to retract my panel right, then left the contrast and brightness at about 50% -60%. Why just adjusted the brightness DESPITE normal time?
4. One advantage of the image optimizer who has made the television more expensive than his “little family” of about 200 euros, I see / I do not recognize. The effect is therefore even more restless, so I got him on display. Sure, I knew it already from my research, but so bad I could not have imagined!
CONCLUSION:
In my view, the Pana was incredibly good, despite the best picture (in the class!) A return candidate. The shortcomings spoil my fun, at least on television. If that does not bother to utter is, however, a strong buy recommendation!
Ah yes, finally, another big thank you to my wife, who wants to keep strictly on the TV ^^…
Super device, unbeatable price, recommendation PZ 85 to PZ 80, 1 October 2008
A. Saller reviews
What is the Panasonic TH 42 PZ 85 offers for its price is unbelievable. That the full HD picture of all is sublime, has been mentioned here so many times. DVDs also look great. Even my weak analog cable signal is completely wrong. The Panasonic plasma does one thing very pleasant, natural image. I can absolutely NOTHING to suspend the device, but for the potential buyers a few tips:
1. Intelligent Frame Creation (IFC): I have long wondered whether I should now buy the PZ 80 (without IFC) or the PZ 85 (with IFC). In several tests and forums, the diverging part, extremely. I must say I find super IFC, improves my opinion anyway once again the very good image stability, without alienating the image is often described as strong. I’m glad that I have spent over 180 €. And one can switch off if there was somewhere once disturbed. Is better than need, right?
2. Matching Blue-Ray Player: I have just purchased a Panasonic Blu-ray player to it (Panasonic DMP BD 30). Is also a great device, and can be great, thanks to VIERA LINK control with the remote control of the plasma. Would be a shame if one has such a fantastic plasma, and no appropriate setter, so Blu-ray player should already be.
Long story short: Absolute 100% buy recommendation. For the money you get now gets no better. Delivery by Amazon was once again incredibly fast: Thursday ordered on Friday of the Blue-ray player was there, and the TV would be delivered on Tuesday. Not Besser gehts

A wonderful TV.
Even if I had the fear that much money to spend on a plasma TV and also there was still uncertainty whether plasma or LCD, I am now 100% convinced that I have done the right thing.
I also had a really good 16:9 TVs from Panasonic, which had 100 Hz technology and has made great pictures.
The television, however, believe in every respect. The picture is fantastic, the sound is great, the size of the hammer. It’s easy Entertaiment pure. It just makes fun. But the living room now looks really modern. A framework of 200 original DVDs round the thing off to perfection.
So to all who work hard and in the evening exhausted to sit in front of the TV and like to watch movies, football and zocken ….. you begrudge this device. It’s worth it.
Critique: Unfortunately, the little TV feauters such as picture in picture.

Here are just a few positive and negative (actually, should we say, less positive!) Impressions of me;
Image:
Analog cable connection;
Surprisingly good picture I had not thought of. Definitely better than expected!
Sound:
For Ferhsehen more than enough! For DVD? S I’d rather hear about surround sound system.
The fan in the back are Ziehmlich softly, I hear only quiet movie passages or sound.
Phosphorlag, this turns the (mostly white) TV screen (predominantly green in fast moving pans) in a light. But is a general problem of plasma.
I perceived it once! Therefore assessed as positive -> <- to!
Burn-: Can I confirm NOT! ! !
If the television is on the first 100 hours with reduced contrast, it happens normally want no more! (unless you can bluff!)
Hence Playstation no problem!
Conclusion:
True Class TV that's way ahead of the competitors!
Note also the high-contrast, and the reaction wahnsinns!

D. Theurer (Ulm) – review
Hello,
First of all I would like to justify why I bought this tv. I stayed over many journals and reviews from hanging and had to conclude that E has the TH42PZ85 at that price in its price range to be ahead, according to magazines and is almost a reference device, and with Sony TVs is compared to over 3.000Euro. I then had the device on the Internet conveniently purchased for EM and test it now since about 4-5 weeks.
About the unit:
Keeping good processing, press the remote to get used to (big buttons and the buttons you need more time, or even in the direction of the TV. The high-gloss surface looks great, but is also a real dust magnet. The fans that are partially butchered in other reviews It should not EVER. If you have the TV in silent mode – only you can hear very, very slight one fan a little “chatter” .. is not going smoothly, but is barely audible in the silent Mosus, that is absolutely NOT really worth mentioning. The settings of the TV was limited but enough for a beginner like me out, and the existing settings are sufficient. What has made me just a little puzzled that the batteries were empty after 3.4 days. How can this happen I do not know but Panasonic is making itself is not necessarily popular.
For image quality:
My Panasonic is connected via an HDMI cable from Oehlbach (XXL MADE) with a PS3 and with a simple digital receiver (scart). Tested have been tested previously, the analog picture, digital, DVD via PS3 and Blu-ray Discs übr PS3, but still no DVB-T.
The analog picture is Verstaendnis and with the right attitude of “Bildaufwerter” is the picture worth seeing. When digital television is the picture really good, class colors, eig no noise and no “holes” as in analog mode, but you can clearly see where different recording material is sent .. Some programs look good, the advertising for Brilliant
, because it probably has a different resolution, etc.. DVDs become SUPER and the look of the Blu-Ray can I join my previous speakers – just> only the hammer! For me, it acts partly almost TO real
To HDMI Cable:
Mine is an extreme case (in terms of price), but is really good but I must also see … just exaggerated! However, I have been tested multiple cables from a friend … a simple 5 – € cable (which I probably should) say anything, the cable from Hama (ca 30, – and still is) much better, but my cable is still a bit better, but price is totally unacceptable. What am I the quality of the mooring cable ….. the TV has a slight green cast real weakness, which means that when a person in close-up or rotated away from black backgrounds come out white objects or vice versa, is clearly seen on one side of the object outside with a yellow stripe grünlcihen. This varies from the width due to the cable quality and the output format (so I can only explain ichs). VII, I take the matter but also shcon too closely and pay attention to every little TO much ..
Friends I had not seen a green cast, but as you can see from the reports has eigentlihc ANY TV has a slight tinge and no one is perfect!
In any case, a green cast is there and not be dragged away (even with my cable it is, though was present there). Moreover, one notices the quality of a cable nohc in image noise, or the image depth, eg in dark areas with bright light or influences.
The boxes:
I’m used to no surround sound, and have ALWAYS been about the only TV-boxes because the boxes have heard of this TV coming AUDIBLE better than my old tube set for now and are really good and are “Normalhörer” absolutely sufficient! However, I’m going to grow too soon for a few surround speakers.
For the viewing distance and brightness of the room:
My TV is only about 2.20 – 2.50 m from the couch. For my taste EXACTLY is perfect. But is a matter of taste! In the digital PAL-taste would not hurt a bit more distance, but is now okay.
My space is really bright (directly inclined roof under the sofa), but I can runterziehen my blind very quickly and then ists perfectly – otherwise it reflects a little bit.
Ahcja .. about burn .. he is a fire, but I only realized after I’ve seen more Blu-Rays at a time and the PS3 about 1 hours standby’ve run () symbols. Branding, but I have not seen the look of the films, but when switching off the outlines of the PS3 icons in the standby (mode was easy to see) … NULL relevant for me, because when it actually SEE a movie is not noticeable!
CONCLUSION:
Class A TV without bells and whistles superviel (the thing you need is there) at a fair price with a very beautiful and successful image quality in this price range is looking for its same. Although he has a few weaknesses, but ultimately, no TV is perfect and small blemishes on the TV is so small that they can be overlooked (if only) because of the excellent picture and price.
I hope that I could with my Rezesnsion help anyone (even if it has become now a bit longer), especially because I have mentioned some Schwäachen and the TV does not ONLY have promised.

- Brilliant picture
- Brilliant colors and great influence on the attitudes
- Very good reception of DVB-T channels (which I do not use, but who has .. ![]()
- A super image for PAL playbacks via RGB / SCART input – and that was ultimately decisive.
- The sound is completely okay in my living room!
- Super scaling of 4:3 broadcasts on a 16:9 format – absolute class!
- HD playbacks when the picture is not topped too !!!!!
I am thrilled! The device is a great replacement for my previous tube TV! Kaufempfehlung!

I have long, long time until I had made a decision, because I had made it really not easy to have covered all the details and have compared features, disadvantages and advantages.
In the end, I came across this device, it has ordered since the first minute and I’m very satisfied so far. As with any plasma must be careful at the beginning just a little, that the screen is not branding, but that was no problem. Only once did I run a Windows screen longer to the start bar was then seen, after a 30-minute turn but was no longer visible.
Otherwise, the voting lines, it has everything what it takes, the sound and picture are great, all settings are available, the design just right … I am simply nothing wrong.
Have fun to all future buyers of this device!

A TV of the superclass. Installation is extremely simple: plug into the outlet, and even raises the TV on automatically.
The picture quality is awesome to watch TV and it is fun with this plasma device. The connection of a PC or notebook is possible and easy to handle. Simply the notebook via a serial cable to connect to the TV and even the contents of the laptop is shown on the TV.

So I bought this plasma also due to the good Rezesionen.
The first impression was, of course, WOW!
Well of course my Xbox 360 connected via HDMI and played Fifa09, because I notice that the image of happy times attracts scum.
I find pretty bad at the price!
Well, ne DVD reingeschoben which blew me away then top picture.
Now to the TV, just nothing really too great for football fans because it also takes time like the ball slightly to the nen.
Perhaps all this is only a matter of settings. If anyone knows about what, let me know!! Greeting
TH42PZ85EA – Simply brilliant!, 21 February 2009
By H. Stubbe “Stubbi” – reviews
I bought nearly 2 weeks before the TH42PZ85EA at Amazon for 1079, -. The delivery was here promptly after 4 days. The device driver has even carried up alone. Ordering and delivery, therefore first-class! I have previously had a 16:9 14-year-old tube. I now just a cut in the digital HDMI-to age, as I’ve also purchased a Premiere HD Receiver. Connect and build with it was not difficult, but I still do not know exactly what should be turned on for now first. But anyway, it has automatically set everything and works perfectly since then. The analog picture is good, better, digital image (cable) and the absolute hammer is HD (ie PremiereHD, Anixe or DiscoveryHD). The sound is surprisingly good, it emerges that, even in movies very good sound quality and real cinema feeling. I am very satisfied, especially since I was a long time even with the heavy weather and had to buy much looked up. The only thing I Coll disturbing is that the TV after turning on the Receiver does not automatically switches to the corresponding HDMI input. Why I do not know. Perhaps I still need to adjust anything, which until now have not yet manage it. The device has a good menu system and is relatively easy to operate. Recommend in every way a true visual treat and absolute. 5 stars from me and thanks again to Amazon. (I am the way, not paid agent, even if read in my review that almost sounds like!)

This device is simply super, he expects an analogue TV picture very well. However, if you after the purchase also wants to acquire digital cable television, should be also a rational purchase Receiver with HDMI, or it can happen quickly, that of the analog TV picture better than offsetting the digital counts. I was really unhappy with my cable provided by Germany receiver. Could hardly see the faces. Now, however, is a ‘Topfield TF 7700 HCCI HDTV Cable Receiver with Common Interface “and the picture is super.
The remote responds very quickly, fits comfortably in the hand and is rationally designed. VIERA Link via other connected Panasonic device can be controlled (unfortunately there is no cable box from Panasonic)
The sound from the speakers is convincing, and to my chagrin that also uses my pearl on MTV / VIVA completely off. If that is not enough, of course, the acquisition is a Heimkinoanlange.
The plasma is secure on the foot and is provided at about 30-35 degrees to the left and right swivel without effort.
The power consumption level is higher than the bright pictures of LCD displays, but it looks like from the pictures in the dark again. Therefore, in average use of electricity for a long time for LCD `s no more.
Color of the plasma has more than enough, from the deepest black to warm colors it can represent everything. Images to appear natural and Plastic.
Udn with 3 HDMI ports 2 scart connections for the display features the technology of tomorrow.
The fans really only when one hears Volume Down and rotates with the ear at 10 cm is Herran.
The size is the matter say only one thing, I switched from ner 80 cm tube to the 106 cm. The first week the difference was just terrifying, imagine mal ne close-up of Harald Schmied prior to this 106 cm. But after a week it has used to it.
Whether there can be a better plasma? Yes, the 48 inch, but would no longer fit for me.
I would buy this display again at any time.
Picture Perfect – Super TV!, 7 February 2009
By Michael Fleischmann “mifleisc” – reviews
I bought, after a long intensive search, the Panasonic TH 42 PZ 85 42 “mid-December 2008 directly from Amazon.
The supply work, as usual Amazon was perfect. (Better to spend a few dollars more and have no problems and still have saved the last cent, but to wait for ages on the device or other problems, with some in Germany dispersed dealers to have.)
I decided to use the plasma technology, because this one), in contrast to LCD technology, particularly for standard TV (SD simply delivers better pictures of what I got confirmed before purchase countless times in electronic markets. The power consumption is on a television, which depends almost exclusively on a top of the image for me of having ordered significance. I can only say that my meter has not been cracked so far from the text!
I use the TV to look almost exclusively normal channels (SD) and, very important, even for HD channels – Premiere (so are those for television also been developed). The result is outstanding! The picture is nothing to be desired (even much better than well-tuned for demonstration) in the electronics markets.
The colors are brilliant and the sound (in Dolby Digital HD always very good). When I switched the first time on an HD channel, I was so overwhelmed by the quality on this TV ensures that I start the continuation of the interrupting of the TV once and sit in amazement before the image remained. Meanwhile, I got used to it, but I am always thrilled again by the perfection. (Football Bundesliga on Premiere HD is a delight – even with boring games you sleep no more. Then you stop one of the blades of grass!)
Finally, it is to say that the built-in on the television back 5 fans can only be heard when the sound almost off, but this work never really annoying.
Oh by the way: The picture tuning you should invest, perhaps more than a few additional euros in a better HDMI cable. For me it has the quality improved again slightly (noticeable at SD) programs.
Conclusion: Total purchase recommendation – especially as the price for this quality is unbeatable!

So, nach 3 Jahren sporadischer Recherche habe ich mich nun für die Anschaffung meines ersten Flachbild TV entschieden. Spoiled by the picture and sound quality of my Toshiba Real Flat CRT TV but I had concerns that heranreicht the current generation of plasma, LCD or LED devices to the picture and sound quality of my 7 years old 36 inch CRT TV. That is why I have the TV market longer observed, and rejected an initial purchase only because of its modern aspects.
With a heavy heart I have now cleared the square, the 80-pound predecessor, and in its place the new TX-P42V10 kg with 29 places. Even the weight comparison has calmed my first purchase. Why the choice fell on a plasma I would not comment, for me, coming from 42 inches, no other technology in question. M. … so be careful of the market carried (necessarily standing) and unpacked. Unusual way I got saved from Amazon (as of June 2009) 300 € and a high quality bargain HDMI cable paid.
First, I am impressed by the sophisticated design and marvel at the flat construction of 8.3 cm! The newly developed NeoPDP FullHD panel will provide increased security against shocks such as shocks and scratches, at least I have my 5 year old son, this new development strictly prohibited tested.
The back of the cable installation is simple and understandable, I use the digital signal input on the upstream Humax Cable receiver with a vollbelegten scart cable. The Sony S350 Blu-ray player, I connect with an HDMI cable into one of the 4 HDMI inputs. So far everything clear now I’m looking forward to the sounds of the 4 fan, the packaging of the device, I have not removed because of that.
3-2 – 1 – TO
Great, I can keep the TV. Absolutely soft and any ambient noise. Even the setup is easy to set up, even 70 years old my father would handle it. With eagle eyes, I now examine skeptical about the manufacturer’s highly touted picture and now find even the first shortcoming. Despite the multiple designations of Technology from Panasonic, I perceive a flicker. “Intelligent Frame Creation 600Hz Pro” can not change that, fortunately, the panel will actually be illuminated and evenly into the corners, which create the LCDs had.
The color and contrast rendition, however, is “great cinema” and I’m curious how this improved after 100 hours. This spectacular, natural images that flicker like for me something I do not know from my old Röher TV. The playback of a Blu-ray is of course very close to perfection, but I expect that even at a resolution of 1080 lines.
I am disappointed, but from the sound or sound, but to have to say that my old tube TV, with its volume and depends on the integrated encoder DolbyDigital the bar in this area was very high. Only after several attempts I have set an acceptable result, even the V-Audio Pro Surround Sound impressed “I am not setting it here simply lack of bass and my pulse never rises above 80 Even some laptops come with a small subwoofer with amazing effects. Unfortunately, I currently can not use my Onkyo amp, the little family members show no sympathy from 19:00 clock, my partner as well. So I’m relying on the built-in speaker system.
So I deal with the network. Certainly I will not use all the features here, but the show of family pictures with Google’s Picasa is a great thing about VIERA CAST. The Tagesschau is viewed just as quickly. The installation is not included on the LAN cable is very fast, the device automatically takes all the necessary settings to the IP address, etc. Very useful is the auto-update the firmware over the network. The bandwidth should be here but mbit> 2000.
Last but not least, I’ve made all the settings on the beautifully crafted remote. This part has my co-decided to buy the way, extremely well thought out, prima keystroke and solid grip for men’s hands.
Deduction of points I give this plasma TV for the average, tinny sound and a summarized for the 14 foreign languages. If you want to read the detailed, German instructions, please submit 40 pages of paper in your printer and print these please both sides. The 14 foreign language at about 100 pages of instructions – please take the blue barrel.
The included CD you can of course also study the functions directly on the PC. Somehow, this Panasonic has understood the environmental aspect is not correct, even if the device has a power-saving ECO mode, which can adjust the panel to the ambient light.
Ultimately, I have decided it quite well, but I would not spend more than € 1,500 (June 2009) – maybe it helps you.
Have fun with your own decision …

I own the 50 “device, which is indeed identical with the exception of the size presented here.
This is now my third plasma, and I can clearly say so far my dear fellow. Meanwhile, the noble V10 is already almost 2 weeks with me, and I’m still fascinated.
Before I owned the Panasonic PV60 in 42 “, with whom I was also very zurfrieden, but unfortunately” was merely “HD-Ready, no 1080p/24Hz dominated, and to me as time has become too small.
I look about Digi-TV Sat with my Humax PR-HD1000, which will be mothballed, but soon, because the V10 has internal tuner.
The “normal” TV picture ever seen by channel quality good to very good from here, the V10 is at the level of PV60, which I personally for a 50 “unit with full-HD has been highly significant.
DVD `s, I scale it up on my Pioneer Blu-ray player to 1080p, and as most guys DVD` s look really great.
Well, what can I say, when watching Blu-ray’s I’m still speechless, what madness magic for the V10 as an image.
Now I am only aware of what it means when a vivid image effect, as the PV60 can compete in any way.
First-class black level is very close to the Kuro, super high contrast and sharpness, this is a wonderful vibrancy.
In addition, the V10 offers a number of ways through various modes such as cinema, Normal, Dynamic and THX, that image set to his liking.
A special feature is the THX, in this mode can not activate 24p Smooth film, so the natural cinema-like remains (Microruckler preserved).
But here, everyone should choose according to his taste, as this is all very subjective.
I will personally set in the near future the image with the Burosch DVD, and then fine-tune to my liking, wait a little crowded for the unit has the 100 hours.
The sound is “normal” TV is more than enough, but again requires some patience and trial and error, because the factory settings quite “thin” sound.
Blu-ray `s and DVD` s, I will use my surround system anyway.
The optics of the V10, I think very successfully, everything looks very high quality and the device makes a noble impression.
Connections abound, among other things, 4x HDMI, YUV, 2x SCART, SD card slot, antenna connector and network.
The device has 4 fans, one perceives the sound is turned off as a faint noise, in any event, our clock is ticking much louder. ![]()
The average consumption has, according to a user in another forum that has durchgemessen a week, reduced by about 100 watts compared to its predecessor (PZ800).
All in all, I am very happy with this device, and do not regret a single penny.
The V10 is currently next to the Kuro in my opinion is to the optimum in the plasma range, and is unbeatable at Preis-/Leistungsmäßig.
I hope that our plasma technology is maintained for a long time, since the unnatural artificial picture of an LCD is not my case.
This is just my personal opinion, as you know, tastes are different.

Hello!
I’m glad that I waited with the purchase of a plasma TV, because now I have bought for my taste, the ne plus ultra. The first few days when I had tested all image sources, I came out of the surprise. Movies in Blu Ray quality is simply the Hammer films, and even in “only” DVD quality, just sharp. A depth and color and everything looks so vividly as if you were “immersed in the action” The graphical representation of the games my PS3 simply gigantic. Details were not visible to the previously recognized were! Even the digital television picture is a treat for the eyes and also the analogue TV picture is still worth seeing. Also pictures of my Digi Cam – thanks to the SD card slot – have a wealth of detail and brilliance that make beautiful slide show is fun. Eye for any number of presets are included. Dynamic, Normal, Cinema, THX and play. I find these settings very successful, but still leave enough room for individual adjust and optimize.
The alleged flicker, I can not understand because I’m sitting not only an inch away from the plasma TV. I think when you just want to see what what is not. Who wants to see a flicker in time to watch TV tube!
What is total class is the integrated multi-tuner. The DVB-C tuner works well and although it is clearly not indicated – just found.
The four fans are hardly noticeable. So this “noise” is beyond criticism. My fan on the PC is tens of times louder!
The Sound quality is a sound fetishist like me, not quite enough. But since I only have before pursuing my Dolby surround system to the plasma TV I have not dealt with the very sound possibilities.
And the price? I think that is perfectly okay, because to justify the panel and a few others, the very strict standards. And if you are waiting too expensive …
I do not regret a penny and I’m glad I opted for this model from Panasonic have!

I hesitated a long time with the purchase of a flat-screen TVs, I found the quality of the devices in the electronics markets is simply not good enough compared to my very good (but small) tube TV.
But the desire for a larger image but then had me go into a store. After a very good and intensive counseling (> 1h) including recording movies from my hard disk recorder I had brought with them became convinced that one of the current generation of devices could really make any more bad buy. Even on a device with “only” HD-ready (for 900 €) I could not find fault with the picture quality.
I was then chosen for the Panasonic, as he liked me by design, he really has a lot of connections, and he has already built an HD-capable DVB-S has the receiver.
For image quality I can only say that I’m very impressed!
It is clear that such a device provides a Bluray disc in full HD mode, a great picture, but I was also important that the normal TV picture is also good. And it fully meets this requirement, where one can see clear differences in the various stations.
New movies and music clips look great, with older films we see the worst resolution.
Conclusion:
Advantages:
+ Very good image quality for DVB-S signal
+ Superior image quality with Bluray discs
+ Many connections
+ Integrated DVB-S tuners
+ Integrated SD card reader with a pleasant fast photo viewer
+ Good sound
+ Easy adjustment
Disadvantages:
- The fan is audible but very quiet (only when the sound of the TV is off)
Tips on buying a flat-screen TVs:
*) The seller in smaller shops (shop have fewer models, but they know really well, and also have plenty of time for a customer.
* If any, bring your own hard disk receiver and view their own recordings. Just as the quality will then be at home. Ideally Zusammenschneiden different Testfilmchen (eg football, landscapes, light / dark, scrolling text etc.).
Very good device in conjunction with a CI module and unity media, 16 June 2009
By VV6 (Austin, TX) – reviews
The fact that this TV in the price / performance ratio makes a very good figure, I certainly do not need to describe more detail, since these tests on the internet there always strike the same tone.
I would like to focus on the DVB tuner, which convinced me completely:
As a cable customer (unity media NRW), it was either rely on the standard receiver with a moderate-resolution OSD or must rely on an outrageously-expensive cable receiver. PANASONIC solves this beautifully with its built DVB tuner. This handles DVB-T, DVB-S and DVB-C signals. For encrypted channels, however, you need a separate CI module. Here I chose the “Alphacrypt Classic” for about $ 100.
Having pushed the CI module into the designated slot on the back of the TV and this was fitted with the encoder card, I just have to select the menu item for the CI module. The CI module is integrated beautifully from TV, so you have the feeling it might have had advance forward on TV so far. Following a single configuration can enjoy digital TV switch through wonderful and easy with the TV remote control. The best part is that the OSD is displayed on high resolution TV (1080p) and have, therefore, look outside “Billigreceiver” the.
The switch itself is quick out of hand, but it takes about half a second, until the image appears.
Really good, the functions of the television in conjunction with this module. Thus, inter alia, 4 Favorites lists are created, which are controlled only the channels that are placed there. Of all the 480 programs have made it only about 30 pieces in my favorites list and will be announced. If another family member other broadcasters prefer to create an additional list of stations. These lists are easily switchable and reduce the otherwise annoying zapping.
Very good, is also the possibility of minors (to activate en). For me, no children living in the household, so I issued the query in this regard. If the minors PIN entered once, he will never demand again, except one, the query sets. These queries can be differentiated classified “12 years / 16 years / 18 years / off”. If a child in the household and only just 14, all of the programs 16 years or greater value will again bear the minors. Everything before that is automatically released.
Another nice feature is the ability of the TV a reception area (for example, “HDMI 1″) with the default picture “GAME” objectives. This setting turns off some things that are important for television than for consoles. Thus, colors of PS3, XBox360, Wii, etc. yet sated be displayed, without changing the real TV picture. Useful in this context is the display of the time. As soon as the channel of the console has been activated and the signal is put on the TV, will mitgestoppt time. Appears to achieve the following intervals of 30 min / 60 min / 120 min / 180 min just a short info window at the top right corner of the picture. This is quite handy when one has given itself just 60 minutes to perform for parents to appointments or want to see how long their loved ones already playing. If, like me, but looking over the PlayStation 3 and Blu-Ray, preferred not to have the attitude GAME and Germany changes to the KINO.
Otherwise, I must say that the picture is after a warm-up time of 250 hours very sharp and colorful. The new generation of plasma panel PANASONIC is really outstanding. Who wants to save something, and also at 400 Hz is obvious, but should take the somewhat stripped-down version for about 700.

After some reflection and Testgucken “was clear: the GW 10, it should be! Why?
DVB-S, DVB-T and DVB-C tuner along with analog tuners are on board!
An additional device for digital reception times could already be saved.
The DVB-C tuner is not, however, officially promoted (because of different cable providers in Germany?)
The trick: The country code “Finland / Helsinki select” (German language user can set) – and it works.
Like everything on the device, slight adjustment, automatic channel scan, logic remote control, etc.
The sound quality is also OK, though a little “flat”.
The largest is, however, the picture quality. Even with analog reception, this is all the classes better than the old tube.
Whether it’s the advertised “600 Hz”, or simply the latest plasma steering, quick movements, or small text Advertisement are no problem.

We start from a consideration: these mega televisions are cheap .. that cost a lot but in proportion to a twenty-inch costs fourfold. then take one mega tantovale
I would say that this TV is excellent. two defects only. I state that I do not know if it’s only a matter of panasonic or whatever.
1 – changing and returning all the settings of the image and everything you want, people are always a Pelino fatter than they are.
for landscapes we see less of course but I did a test with a Samsung and I think a hair more “allargante”
Missing 2-slot for digital terrestrial is the free one that takes the signal that is a wonder but if you like me to watch a football match in charge of cat are you ..
for the rest: the sound seems more than good (if there is enough to buy yourself the home theater)
the image as already mentioned for the rest is excellent and has a fairly broad area of vision.
There are all the outlets that serve HDMI etc..
The management menu is excellent and very easy and very large as you think you can mess around and change what you want.
maybe they forgot to check the remote I do not like a crab and menu commands are splashed across the top right and are not very intuitive.
otherwise the value for money is fantastic
panasonic plasma

After several tours in electronics stores, el ‘experience accumulated over time, given my interest in buying this particular Panasonic plasma (better in all on the LCD even in the price unless they saw the size if the LCD is used with PC or vision cartoons), I found the true valuation of buying this plasma. Value for money is the winning card, tv full hd-100 hz 1000000:1 Dynamic Contrast 20000:1 native contrast (contrast real) full-range audio 10×2 (is not much but I assure you is fine) These data are the most other important data like the various inputs i24p etc. etc. are important for those looking for the TV on top, but personally I have 2 or 3 HDMI inputs 30000:1 contrast the SD card is not worth spending 200-300 euros more . REPORT BY ACTING TELEVISION REPLAY ‘great prices.
For the record, the Panasonic plasma is only after Piooner plasma (expensive but justified given the technology more)

The highly detailed images are guaranteed by the V-real PRO 3 technology, while 24p Playback provides an immersive theater effect reproducing the images at 24 fps twice their speed. Great care in the management of colors. The huge dynamic contrast (1,000,000:1), the exclusive technology xv Color 5120 and well bring similar levels of alcohol on your screen all the brilliance of the landscape in full sun but make the most of even the darkest shades giving them softness and depth.

Well this was the birthday of my entire family at home now completed we lack a bit of that as we are buying furnishings. A best gift that just do not think he could receive. But precisely for that movie if one eats them for breakfast I have not disappointed even my wife who has fun with me and aveda these films. High quality modern design and a TV that every time you turn it on there would be urlarci as it is beautiful. Would definitely recommend.
