I ordered this plasma at 1 1 / 2 months and am happy with it.
The setup was easy and went well alone.
The commissioning of the TV was easy.
The Klavirlack optics of the TV is nice but you can see dust and fingerprints at once it.
TVs are currently connected to the Dvd player (scart), Pc (hdmi) and Satreciver (scart).
It’s all up to the TV in the restart of the Pc? S makes a funny beep again but this ceases as soon as the operating system is loaded.
Picture and sound via Scart Hdmi is just as great.
It should be on it to respect the one uses a high quality cable. The difference you notice in every case.
The built-in USB connection to work on a few little things, too great. It only recognizes my external hard sometimes not. But he has only known time he plays it fairly from everything you want from him.
More is not actually say to a thoroughly good television for good money so you ordered it and rejoice.

Be one week I had the LG 42 PQ6000 and am impressed by the performance of the device. Previously I had a 0815 tube. The interior is simple and very understandable. Who to even read the manual before or after, is also the last features that protect the device, among others, before the Burn-in (orbiter). Oddly, the manufacturer is out of this.
The perceived quality of the device is hervorangend and the extras are functional. He seems to 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution, and have not 1024 * 768 (the claims of the manufacturer is different). The USB function is after you made a little familiar with a very nice feature.
So normally loose five-star top device at a reasonable price.

So, now I’ve done me a plasma TV and must say that the LG is worth his money.
Compared to the old Sony Trinitron from 1992, the brilliance of the images and colors is really impressive.
I can not do much compared to other end Plamsa TV’s disks, because in most cases either acquaintances or tube TV’s or LCD TV’s go.
I’m super happy with the LG, just high-quality picture and sound sources such as DVD’s are played very well

First, I must say that I have not ordered the device via Amazon.de.
I have the 42 PQ 6000 now for 3 days and I must say that I am extremely enthusiastic. I’ve been expecting for the reasonable price is not as high-quality device. He is super processed and the design is well ….. oh well, words fail me.
The picture is great and the sound is unexpectedly good. First, I had been thinking zuzulegen a sound because the sound was still judged mediocre. Having now seen several movies on the device (and heard) I thought the sound system is also rejected.
The most ingenious of all is the USB interface. Divx videos lend themselves to easy and play without long waits.
I am absolutely happy with the device and can only recommend. Anyone who spends more is your own fault!

First things first: The TV does a very good picture.
I will mainly use the built-in DVB-T tuner. Extra. I still have an analog satellite receiver. Even here the picture is completely i.O.
The tone is not completely satisfactory with the 4 speakers as well. The power moves as the 100W. Have a measuring instrument can be run along for several days.
Not quite as good is the EPG. We must first turn on the transmitter to get the preview, or the device gets no info.
So far I have not yet succeeded aufzuzeichnen.Immer a timer recording on my DVD recorder with no sound. Picture but i.O. I think it a mistake of the entire series (is PQ3000, PQ6000. I returned the 3000 because of it). LG Hotline is not really helpful.
The TV has not yet equalizer Picture Wizard! Full screen mode the images on a USB drive does not work either.
Conclusion: If you can live with certain restrictions, get a good plasma TV.

First, I have long considered whether LCD or plasma. Since I do not plug in the PC and console games it was clear quite rare, a plasma must be her. For digital TV and DVD playback, the absolute best decision. So the PQ6000 Amazon orders, fast delivery (well, with phone consultation for those in work are).
Compared to other flat panel displays is an absolute piece of design. Consistent front-glass panel, no viewable speaker, but off to a good sound. Those who expect a rich bass of the flat panel should perhaps think about this, how this is technically funtionieren, at least it has good sound normally a reasonable home theater receiver. The sound of PQ6000 is certainly pretty good.
The picture! Absolutely amazing, digital receiver connected via HDMI, DVD via Scart port. In both cases, an image that everything I have ever seen in the relevant technology markets in the shade. Brilliant colors, rich detail and completely fluent display, since even HD-ready enough. Who Blu-ray or HD uses TV, Full HD is certainly a need, for me it is still an issue.
The PQ6000 offers all the connectivity options, even a USB port is available and works fine (USB) flash drive, external hard drive. The extensive menu offers all kinds of settings.
Overall impression: positive everything! Absolute buy recommendation! For little money a real gem for any living room.

Due to acute shortage of space and the desire for a slightly larger viewing area, decided to take my wife and I to buy a new TV. After a long search the Web and extensive wanderings through various Elektogroßmärkte, the constant oscillation between LCD and Plasma TV, HD Ready and Full HD, we decided finally to buy a plasma TV from LG, model 42PQ6000. Unfortunately, there was the time of our search (March 09) yet no reviews for the device, in which we could have guided, so far as already was a certain risk of a bad buy. Fortunately, it was not, however, on the contrary, it was a good buy!
Now, after more than two months of practical experience with the LG, we know some of its advantages, but also its weaknesses:
As for the PQ6000 of other LCD and plasma televisions stand out, certainly is its completely flat glass front. The device looks like this very noble and high quality and stands out positively from the uniform design from other TVs. This impression is reinforced by small details, such as implemented by the unusually light. Perfectly emphasized the device happens when it is hung on the wall. The connection of peripherals such as DVD player or satellite receiver, thanks to adequately prepare existing interfaces no problem. Unfortunately, instead of an HDMI cable containing only a SCART cable supplied, so the former must be purchased separately yet. The location of the interfaces is well chosen, some of them are on the back of the case, some on the left side of the housing. At the latter location is also where the USB 2.0 interface, and the PCMCIA card slot for receiving a smart card. Also the LG has an integrated DVB-T receiver, so an external receiver is obsolete – at least in most cases. Those who play an active DVB-T antenna is used that has no power supply, but by the DVB-T receiver remotely, must either grow a new antenna or to forego the integrated DVB-T tuner in the LG. The antenna output of the PQ6000 unfortunately does not offer 5V Power feed for active antennas.
As for the choice of installation sites of the TV: It is said that plasma TVs are ideal for dark environments, LCD TVs, for bright rooms. The trend probably correct, but that does not mean that you could not run a plasma in the living room with southern exposure. Of course you can, but you have to stop – like the old tube TV too – possibly a bit of time, the blinds down. To that extent one here would generate a level of comfort with LCD gain, but suffered no deterioration of plasma TVs have.
The commissioning of the Plasma is spectacular, with a faint clack it turns on. After that operation no longer audible noise, no whistles or hums, even when completely down regulated volume. In a disturbing noise of the case fans can also listen in vain – the LG is in fact no fan!
Was the TV turned on for the first time, an assistant from the audience asked some basic settings, but they can be changed later at any time. This can always access the setup menu of the TV, which is an exemplary smart design and also assists the user with short information about the individual menu options. To set up the transmitter for DVB-T reception can say I regret anything, because we receive our TV via satellite.
Once set reflects the true strength of the LG: The image! The colors are strong and light, the black is blacker than the night in the basement, the entire image display has naturally and without excessive sharpness. Image quality of playback of an analog satellite signal via SCART been surprisingly good. Our digital satellite receiver “TechnoTrend S320″ against sending a picture via HDMI to the plasma, and its quality measures up to pretty close to that of a tube TV. But it is important to maintain a certain (minimum) distance to the TV, in our case, approximately 4 meters.
Even in fast moving images (eg camera movements), we can detect any motion blur or streaking. But what has already occurred, are so-called ghost images of luminescence of the plasma cells, in our case caused by a longer time are shown still attached to the Wii console. These ghosts, however, disappear with time in the normal television operation and will supposedly occur only during the first hours of operation. We’ll see … in any case is not about a burn in the picture.
Depending on what kind of program you just look, can be different if desired, select a set program modes: “sport”, “game”, “cinema”. Personally, I say these settings at all, least of all “beside” I feel this still the cinema mode. Therefore, we never actually use these modes, especially since a higher contrast and color is always bought at a higher power consumption. Our plasma is ongoing with 50% contrast, which m. E. a good compromise between image quality and power consumption is.
Not really useful is the automatic volume adjustment. What presents itself on paper as a useful thing, namely, the automatic correction of the volume when changing channels, turns out in practice implemented as half-baked feature. Once activated, the volume is constantly regulated minimum up / down, so that watching TV all the time minimal, is exposed to fluctuations in volume but very perceptible.
The sound quality itself is ok, we can expect from 2 speakers with 10 watts of power just no wonder. The speakers do not sound tired or bulky, not too tinny or unnatural. Normal TV speaker, whose performance is sufficient for everyday TV. If you want more, which is the connection of a separate receiver encouraged.
A little highlight on the other hand, the USB port of the Fersehen, on the – you using a USB flash drive or hard drive with USB connection – photos, MP3 music and even movies in DivX / XVid format can be played. the latter is likely to be just a film fan’s a great thing, but it can be a stored collection of favorite movies on hard disk without the aid of a DVD player’s magic on the screen. Especially helpful: The TV is even able to read the NTFS-formatted media system! He also gets along well with the formats MPEG1, MPEG2 and VOB.
The only downer: When playing from USB media is only a rudimentary zoom function available, so the resolution should be of playback films must not be underestimated. One criticism is the lack in ability to perform so-called “firmware upgrades”. Although the USB interface with an appropriate option was available, the LG offers consumers no such files to download. A pity, because it is not possible to correct such as the faulty automatic volume adjustment.
Conclusion: A very good device with a convincing image quality, and at a reasonable price. Some are little ugliness, but they could not reduce the positive overall impression. 5 star, buy recommendation!

- No 5V power antenna.
- AVL (Automatic Volume Adjustment) unusable, since the volume varies slightly constant.
- Cueing sources can not be freely named, only given names (for instance possible “satellite”, “Game”).
- Partial arbitrary (virtual) folder structure for USB storage devices.
- No zooming during playback from USB media.
- No “Go to time / chapter” function for playback from USB media.
- No firmware updates available.
Others:
- No information on DVB-T, since only used with satellite receivers.
- In the beginning of time, partially afterglow of longer standing areas of the image (Wii console), but disappear again.
- Glass reflects more than usual plastic disc.
- No detectable hum / whistle, not even with sound turned off.
- Response to question about the LG Support Contact Form (04.06. 17:00 until 05.06. 11:30).
- Telephone support was available immediately without waiting period (Friday, 12:00).
- Suggested Seat pitch: 4 meters.

First of all, a huge compliment to the delivery service, but already 5 stars!

Sound:
More than is necessary to look “normal” TV.
Operating menu:
Very intuitive design and not overloaded.
Optics and processing:
The LG looks when you compare with other devices on the market, from very expensive. The processing is excellent, no crackling, beeping, or whirring warnehmbar of fans. For about three weeks of the plasma-screen replacing the old tube TV, and I’m just impressed so far. The structure – and particularly the installation of the pivot foot – is done in a few minutes. With the size of the screen, a second person would be useful as an aid in any case, but went alone.
Then TV cable plugged in, start tuning, done. Via the menu you can then rearrange the channels around to see them in the same row as the result of hard disk recorders.
I have analog cable and digital cable, the former, the quality is very good for digital reception even better. The hard disk recorder (Panasonic), I have connected to one of three HDMI sockets. Since I have neither PS3 or BluRay, I can only because of the “normal” reception to say that I am very satisfied with the picture quality. Full-HD, I do not miss so far, the playback of DVDs convinced me already anyway.
Connectivity, the device has more than enough for me, ideally I find the USB socket: About my 8-GB flash drive so wonderful, I can watch videos, a slideshow on the screen (JPG show with MP3 background music) or listen to music. An external hard drive was readily detected – but should have its own power supply.
An afterglow, or baking, I have not been able to find where I heruntergestellt the contrast from the beginning to 50 percent. The sound quality is more than enough for me, but I switch to an external receiver if necessary. The built-in DVB-T receiver I have not yet been tested, since I have cable.
There are only a few small things that bothered me so far in the daily operation a little change but the good overall impression of nothing:
- I often need to adjust the remote control, screen size by hand, the “Auto” setting for each channel does not work correctly and sometimes shows a little picture with big bars on all sides.
- In general, some keys that are frequently used, on the remote unfavorably placed.
- Most Bildschim preset modes like sports show for me not very nice colors and are therefore hardly used because I do not always want to change everything again via the menu.
- When the slide show, I can not adjust the display time INDIVIDUALS, but only go between predetermined levels. Power, but nothing, so I still make a very large digital picture frames …
